Deadline Extended to Wednesday
Hi, hackers!
The IEEE GRSS Boston Hackathon organizing committee is providing an opportunity for the participating students to have an extension of the final report submission to Wednesday, August 11th, at 11:45PM EDT. Extra credit will be provided to students who will submit according to the original deadline (August 9th, 5:00PM EDT). However, students who will take advantage of the extension will not be penalized.
We hope this helps!

Clarification on the scope of the data analysis
Hi, hackers!
Note that the amount of storage and processing capability required for making neural networks for the complete set of data would be unfeasibly large. Hence, we would like to clarify a few points:
- You are not expected to process all the data! You should select some tiles from the large data set and focus on those. The number of tiles you analyze is up to you.
- The scope is to detect a minimum of one type of damage (for example, building structures that collapsed). If you can detect more than one type of damage, great. But you…

Access to the Quick Terrain Modeler Software
Hi, Hackers!
Here is the information for accessing the Quick Terrain Modeler software:
- Go to https://appliedimagery.com and follow the instructions to download and install the free trial software.
- Once installed, email your "Workstation ID" to info@appliedimagery.com . Remember to mention that you are a student participating in the IEEE GRSS Hackathon!
- And you should be good to go!
If you run into any issues, let us know and we will help as much as we can! If you have questions on the software itself, reach out to Mike at support@appliedimagery.com .
Warm regards,
